Two things that have been keeping me busy lately: Mandarin and the guitar! I'm learning both, separately of course... and learning them is actually not easy, it requires a lot of determination. But i badly want to speak the langauage and I'm dying to play the guitar. *sigh* PATIENCE+ DISCIPLINE! I've figured I have to develop these first.....

September is almost over. And Tita Lanie’s month-long vacation is also almost over. Another goodbye is on the way. My mother’s best friend and everyone’s favorite Tita has broken the monotony of our "dailies" with her long awaited visit from the land of the free. Her stay meant more eating and bonding times for all of us. But as they say, all good things must come to an end. And unfortunately, the Philippines isn’t her home anymore. So we decided to hold a mini farewell dinner for her before she leaves. A post-worthy occasion that has been rare for me lately. Everyone went home happy, so all’s well that ends well!

We had our last supper with again, Tita Melanie. She flies back to Virginia later this morning, 10:50am. The following were in the guest list: of course, Tita Melanie; the grownups -- Tito Jun, Tita Pinky, Tita Mayang, Ernie, and Lidj; DC -- Danjo, Jec, Jhem, John, Mark; CD -- Ann2x, Anna, Jamie, Jedi; the "babies" -- Mai2x and Sandi; and not in the picture, Bambi.
